Kontron's cloud platform

The Intelligent Cloud Platform (ICP) is a product of Kontron’s own development. In our solutions, we favour open source and cooperation principles, so the ICP is the result of a joint project with the Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics in Ljubljana, Faculty of Computer Science and Informatics in Maribor, and the Fraunhofer Focus Institute from Berlin. Together, we carried out several research projects of cloud solutions, supported by the EU. Kontron’s ICP is also part of the European initiative IPCEI-CIS (Important Project of Common European Interest Next Generation Cloud Infrastructure and Services). The first in Europe to recognise the true value of the ICP is one of the largest railways operator. It is the largest ICP project to date, and consists of a geographically distributed cloud environment over the entire railway network.
