is a compact, standalone fibre-termination unit designed to perfectly match Innbox ONTs with a clickable, snap-on design.
It simplifies FTTH deployment and cuts operator costs by up to 40% with a do-it-yourself installation.
Matchless Design and Ease of Use
While effectively protecting fibre termination, splice and coiling, the unique design of Innbox FTU allows Innbox ONTs to slide and latch to the FTU with a snap.
Following the installation of Innbox FTU, no more truck rolls are needed: end users can install or replace ONTs themselves, eliminating the need for a visit when upgrading the ONT or migrating from GPON to XGS-PON.
Under the hood
The FTU base provides a coiling area for up to three metres of stripped fibre, and holders for fibre splice, SC APC connector and gas blocker. Fibre can enter from seven sides or from the back and can be additionally fastened with zip ties.
Above the cover
The FTU cover attaches to the FTU base with screws and protects fibre termination, splice and coiling from unauthorised access.
The patent-pending design of Innbox FTU assures full flexibility of installation and use in various setups.
Typical Setup
In a typical setup, unstripped fibre enters from the back. More than three metres of stripped fibre can be coiled in the FTU. Finally, the FTU cover protects fibre splice, coiling and SC APC connector from unauthorised access.
Setup with Gas Blocker
In this case, the fibre enters via a gas blocker. More than three metres of stripped fibre can be coiled in the FTU. Finally, the FTU cover protects fibre splice, coiling, gas blocker and SC APC connector from unauthorised access.
Classical Setup
In the most classical setup, unstripped fibre enters from seven sides or from the back. More than a metre of unstripped fibre can be coiled in any direction. Finally, the FTU cover protects fibre splice, coiling and SC APC connector from unauthorised access.
Installation is complete once the FTU cover is securely mounted on the FTU base, ready for the ONT to slide and latch to the FTU, covering it completely. The ONT can be mounted at any time, by either a technician or end users themselves.
